Gallipoli

Gallipoli is a town in the province of Lecce, on the Ionian coast of Puglia. The territory includes the urban centre, split between the old town on a limestone island and the modern part on the mainland, and the surrounding areas of tourist settlements and coastline. Its position makes it easy to reach the neighbouring towns: Alezio is about 7 km away, Taviano 12 km, and the seaside spots of Baia Verde, Pizzo and Marina di Mancaversa are a few minutes by car.
