Welcome to Casa Martino.
Entering Casa Martino means immersing yourself in an environment where history, tradition, and the present intertwine. We wanted to restore to this place the splendor of all its historical architecture, with its high ceilings and original room layout, through meticulous restoration and redevelopment work. Every element of our furnishings has been chosen to emphasize and restore to the place all its 18th-century charm.
Casa Martino embarks on one story among many that unfolds across generations, seeking the common thread among them in the essence of tradition, wishing to bring back to memory the bond that good food weaves between us and simple, daily life, within a totally private and familial dimension.
The smells and flavors of traditional Salento cuisine are evocative of a subjective and intimate space, connected to the bustling movement of grandmothers' kitchens: the clatter of dishes, the scraping of pots on stoves, and the sound of their voices were those precise details that captured and concentrated our emotions, carving out a space for themselves in our memory over time.
This is the intrinsic value of Casa Martino for us. We wanted to open the doors of its spaces as if they were the doors of ancient residences, the same ones flooded with natural light—coming from the garden—that illuminated the first rooms at the back, blending with the smell of dishes on the stove. It was natural to return to our origins, to rethink our menu by following the path along our roots.
We wanted to honor the originality of the culinary tradition by including the most emblematic products of our territory in our menu: Salento.
